Season Review

The U16's have enjoyed a good season in the league finishing runners up to Pinxton Rockets, a sticky patch in November costing us the title.  Unfortunately our form during this period cost us our Cup place as well.
Before the season started things were looking grim as we were struggling to find a manager, but up turned Tony Bennett from Shirebrook and totally rejuvenated the team bringing in some much needed quality players, and by also running intensive but enjoyable training sessions which definitely benefited the lads individually and as a team.
We finished up the second highest scorers and with the best defensive record over the season. The team spirit was fantastic resulting in some great individual characters.  Sheldon Hulett was as mad as a March hare, and Levi Saunders was the comedian, (well he thought he was) what a great bunch of lads.   
Unfortunately due to a number of reasons both personal and practical, the team will not be entering the U18's next season and therefore will be sadly splitting up, unless someone steps forward to run the team
